The Palo Alto Daily News endorses Ellen Wheeler for MVWSD Trustee, saying that Ellen is "... one of the more knowledgeable newcomer candidates for school board we've seen over the years," and "She was up to speed on issues the school board has been working on in the past year, such as the new, more comprehensive report cards the district will soon be using."  Furthermore, "We get the impression that Wheeler will keep the school administration on its toes by asking tough but reasonable questions.  She also said she is committed to improving communications with parents and the greater community."

For the second of the two four-year terms the Daily News recommends Fran Kruss.
